Program Description

Learn how to take advantage of technology and online services to maximize every budget dollar spent on your member service and lending operations!

Wayne Watters, President of Travis County CU in Texas, will share his experience with developing cost-effective tools online and in the office to boost productivity and deliver the in-branch experience over the internet.

Locating the right online vendors and tools will result in more effective online services, including loan origination and closing, new member accounts, and signature capture on member service forms. Your increase in online traffic and reduction in lobby traffic will enable quicker turn-around and more efficient and effective service on loans and member support.

Meet The Presenter:

Wayne Watters has worked in financial services since 1996 and specifically credit unions since 1998. His excellence has been demonstrated in staff development, member engagement, improving processes and systems, and building the credit union's brand.

Since becoming the President of Travis County CU in 2011, Wayne has improved technology and launched successful member engagement strategies through in person, social media and email campaigns to deepen member relationships and increase member loyalty.  Staff initiatives have been developed to include a self-tracking incentive program and coaching strategy which has led to robust loan growth.  Online reputation strategies have been incorporated to encourage online reviews by members to help bolster the credit union’s online reputation and new member growth.

By the end of 2016, Wayne's credit union realized 5-year growth in assets totaling 36% and a 72% increase in loan volume while maintaining an average delinquency ratio of .06% year-to-year.
